Harper Lee illustrates integrity as a writer because she has elected to write about truthful matters that occurred and still occur in the South. She knew that this choice would have serious consequences, yet she still decided to publish this novel.
I think she showed integrity by writing this book. She showed people what was the right thing to do and not let everything slide. She didn't care what other people thought about her.
