  2. The scottsboro case is about some guys that got arrested for rape and they didn't do it. This happened around the 1930's.t The judge did not do anything about the case. The guys were a group of black men.

  4. It happen at Southern Railroad train in Paint Rock, Alabama.
    Back then rape charges were put a death penalty.
    Clarence Norris, Charlie Weems, Haywood Patterson, Olen Montgomery, Ozie Powell, Willie Roberson, Eugene Williams, and Andy Wright are tried and convicted, and sentenced to death.
    The nine boys did not rape the girl.

  6. ~ In July 1937 Clarence Norris was convicted guilty and was sentence to death.
    ~ Andy wrights was convicted guilty and was sentence 99 years.
    ~ Ozie Powell was convicted guilty and sentence 20 years.
    ~ Four other men were sentenced free!

  7. Most of the kids got drinking problems, and mental problems. One of them kills there wife after the war.one of them got shot in the hade but survived it got mental problems.norris was the last one to die.

    Olen Montgomery (age 17)
    Clarence Norris (age 19)
    Haywood Patterson (age 18)
    Ozie Powell (age 16)
    Willie Roberson (age 16)
    Charlie Weems (age 16)
    Eugene Williams (age 13)
    Brothers Andy (age 19) and Roy Wright (age 13)
    In 1932 the youngest boy was granted a new trial, by the Supreme Court. In May 1932 the Supreme Court announces they will hear the scottsboro boys case

  11. The Scottsboro case was in the 1930s and nine black men where triled for rape two wight women. All of them but the youngest who was 12was sentence to death. The Communist Party USA took charge of the case. " but in 1935 decision the U.S. Supreme Court (Norris v. Alabama) overturned this conviction, ruling that the state had excluded blacks from juries.   14. The case started on march 25,1925 the case was that white women accused black kids of raping them. The men were innocent and got charged with rape. The kids actually went to prison over this. When the truth came out about the women the court system did not do anything to them.

  17. On march 25 1931 two white girls said that nine black teenagers raped them. On January 1932 6-1 vote they were sentence to a death sentence. On march 30 1933 they did another trile. They proved that they were not guilty that the girls lied and is was bacd on racism

    Haywood fled to michigan and got convicted of manslaughter and died in jail

In 1931 9 black teenagers were accused of raping to white woman on a freight car.in a series of trails they eventually lead the to go to jail then it was the death penilty.and they were all innocent they never raped the woman but they where still found guilty in court.they got the death penilty because some men wanted revenge.

  23. 9 boys got arrested just because two white girls said that they rapped them so they where founded guilty. Other people think that they are inestent so they help them get out and then they where founded not guilty. People where giving them money and they where famous at there time. They are called the Scottsboro because they got arrested in Scottsboro, Alabama.
