Ithaca

Odysseus and his crew are trying to get home to Ithaca. Research this city and give 5 facts about it. Also, do you believe Odysseus lived there in real life? Explain.

    ~There is no airport on the island, but it does have a heliport for emergencies and Argostoli airport in Kephalonia is only a short ferry ride away.
    ~Ithaca has pebble beaches. A high percentage are sea- smoothed marble.
    ~All Ithacans are related to one another somewhere along their family tree.
    ~Trucks delivering Fresh Fruit and Vegetables come from Lefkada and Kephalonia. You can buy straight from the truck.

  4. is an island located in the Ionian Sea, in Greece.Home of Odysseus, and perhaps Homer, this tiny island attracts sailors and holidaymakers from all over the world.Even though Odysseus is the best known name of Ithaca.Ithaca is truly a magical place, and stands for the homecoming. Towards the end of the 18th century the island was occupied by the French, and in 1809 it was conquered by the British. I think Odysseus is not real because it was all make believe.

It is also a separate regional unit of the Ionian Islands region, and the only municipality of the regional unit.It lies off the northeast coast of Kefalonia and to the west and within sight of continental Greece. I thank it is some what true because of all the mythical stuff.

  12. I think it's half way true, as in the people are but there powers and what not isn't true. It's just a myth that people made up because they got tricked by them and instead of saying that they said they had powers.
